2,000 bulky waste collections have been booked in Wandsworth during the service’s first month in operation.

The council says this is saving residents £47,000 and helping to achieve cleaner streets across the borough.

The service offers home collections for larger items such as mattresses, furniture and appliances like washing machines.

Every household gets two free bulky waste collections a year, worth £47 per household, and saving residents a trip to the tip.
