15-hundred people – mostly NHS staff – have gathered for a service at Westminster Abbey to mark the NHS’s 75th anniversary.

They were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, as well as the Prime Minister and other political party leaders.

The George Cross – awarded to the service by the late Queen – was placed on the alter.

Lib Dem leader and Kingston MP Sir Ed Davey has been paying tribute to the health services in the borough.
