It’s believed the fire broke out on the second floor just before 6:30 and spread quickly.
Several floors of the block and the Heart were evacuated and there are no reports of any injuries.
Twelve people are reportedly having to stay with friends and family while the cause of the fire is under investigation.

We scaled back the incident at The Heart, Walton-on-Thames at 00:30 this morning, once it was confirmed the building and its residents were safe. One fire engine remained at the scene overnight.
The fire was accidental, and you may see us in the area today, while we continue to provide advice and reassurance to residents and local businesses.
