World tennis number ten Daniil Medvedev had an on-court meltdown as he failed to win a game in his Monte Carlo Masters exit against Matteo Berrettini.

He smashed his racket against the court seven times before throwing it in anger.

Medvedev was beaten 6-love, 6-love for the first time in his career.

The Russian also took out his frustration on his racquet when he suffered a shock first round exit at Wimbledon last year.
