Works are underway to create a direct cycle route from Shepherds Bush tube station to the south of Hammersmith and Fulham borough.
Working with Transport for London, the 14-week project will help improve walking and cycling around Shepherds Bush Green.
The council says the new and improved crossing points will help manage crowds more safely.
They will make it safer and easier to navigate the area for the millions of people who visit the Westfield shopping centre and our White City Innovation District each year.
Cllr Florian Chevoppe-Verdier, Cabinet Member for Public Realm, said:
“We’re improving the area around Shepherds Bush Green to help make H&F the best place to live, work and socialise.
Millions of people visit Westfield and our White City Innovation District every year. That’s why we’re working with Imperial College London to help clean our toxic air and create healthier ways to get around the borough.”
