Work has begun to replace the no-vehicle planters with gates in Bushy Park.

Chestnut Avenue was closed off to vehicles in 2020 during the Covid pandemic.

The decision was later taken to make the move permanent.

The Royal Parks says the gates are being installed with access for emergency vehicles only.
