He’ll officially succeed Lord Davies of Abersoch in July, after the former government minister confirmed he was stepping down at the back end of last year.
It’s also been announced current L-T-A deputy president Roy Colabawalla will take over from Sandi Procter as the governing body’s president in January 2026.
