Kanika has been born to ex-orphan Kilabasi who was rescued 14 years ago after her parents were killed by poachers.
The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust operates the most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world.
The charity, whose UK base is in Leatherhead, has rescued over 300 orphaned elephants to date and operates 29 anti-poaching teams.
