On Sunday, the 8th of June, seven runners will take on the Turks Head 10K in Twickenham, running to raise funds for Crossroads Care Richmond and Kingston.
Each runner brings a deeply personal reason to the start line.
Among them is Tristan, who is running in honour of his eight-year-old daughter, Imogen, who lives with Canavan disease, a rare and devastating condition that affects the brain’s white matter. Imogen is tube-fed and depends entirely on her parents for her needs.
Also running are Holly Crosswaite, Crossroads’ dedicated Peer Support Worker, and her mum Sophie, along with the charity’s trustee Debbie Ramsay, her husband John, and their daughter, Laura. One of Crossroads’ new clients, also named John, who cares for his wife living with Multiple Sclerosis, completes the team.
Together, they are supporting Crossroads Care’s mission to provide vital services for unpaid carers and their families who often face isolation, hardship, and hidden challenges.
