The money is for the hospital’s new Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre, which is due to open in Autumn 2026.
It’s hoped the centre will deliver faster diagnoses, better cancer and kidney treatment and an improved environment for patients.
People who buy a brick will see their name and message added to the virtual donor wall.
The new centre would include a cardiac MRI scanner, enabling quicker, more accurate diagnosis of heart conditions and specialist chemotherapy and dialysis chairs, designed for comfort, dignity and control.
It’s hoped the centre will increase diagnostic and treatment procedures by 57% which is nearly 85,000 more appointments each year.
