Wandsworth Town station is set for a major upgrade which will see lifts to all platforms finally installed.

The Council has approved just over £7 million in funding which it says will come from developer contributions rather than the taxpayer.

The works are part of a wider £20 million project in conjunction with Network Rail and the Access for All scheme.

Wandsworth Town is ranked as the 146th busiest station out of Network Rail’s 2,580.
