University of Surrey engineers are developing drones that fly like birds.

The ‘Learning2Fly’ project is developing the devices that can move easily through cities or check offshore wind turbines.

Researchers say they are keeping an eye on owls and other birds to help drones avoid obstacles and fly safely in tricky conditions.
