Unilever’s warning the “de-merger” of its ice cream business has been pushed back due to the on-going shutdown of the US government.

It’s due to a budget row between Republicans and the Democrats .

It means America’s Securities and Exchange Commission can’t approve its listing on the New York Stock Exchange.

The new business will however be listed in both London and Amsterdam from next month.

Unilever’s UK and Ireland headquarters are currently being consolidated into a new campus in Kingston.
