The tablets at St Etheldreda’s have been inscribed with the names of 113 soldiers who died in WWI.

Four names of those who were killed in WWII who, until now, had no memorial at the church, have also been inscribed.

The original commemorative stones, completed just before Christmas 1920, were destroyed during the Blitz in 1940.

The church was rebuilt in 1958, but the memorial was never reinstated.
