Transport for London is investigating another bus fire, this time, at Putney Bus Garage yesterday.
A fleet of electric buses had to be withdrawn after a double decker caught fire in Wimbledon town centre two weeks ago today.
The blaze started outside The Alex Pub and the electric bus was quickly evacuated.
Bus operator, Go Ahead, says TfL is taking the lead on this investigation.
A TfL spokesperson said, “Putney bus garage was partially closed following a fire on a bus. No one was on board the bus at the time and it was extinguished quickly. An investigation into the incident is now taking place.”
TfL has also told us they are not linking the incidents as the buses were different makes and models and the settings were different for each incident.
