Three men have forced entry to a house in Addlestone, spraying the owners with liquid from a water bottle.
Police are searching for three men following the incident in Northcote at around 12:30am on Monday.
One man was armed with a shovel, and another sprayed the occupants with liquid which was not corrosive.
They are all described as white men in dark hoodies.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101.
