Morrisons has confirmed it intends to build a new store on the site of its currently closed one in the High Street.
Residents had been campaigning alongside their Lib Dem MP, Luke Taylor, to keep the supermarket chain in the area.
Morrisons shut in July last year for “essential maintenance.”
But the closure was extended indefinitely due to “significant” underlying structural issues that required extensive repairs.
