There’s been a 50% drop in nitrogen dioxide emissions in Richmond since 2019.

The Council says it has successfully reduced NO2 air pollution to within UK Government target limits in all but two locations.

It’s putting the decrease down to a number of measures including improving cycling infrastructure and trialling e-bikes services.

But the council’s report does note that working from home during COVID and after has likely played a part in affecting traffic levels.
