The Grade II listed structure has been closed to vehicles since April 2019 due to safety concerns.
Labour’s Putney MP, Fleur Anderson, says she has received a positive response from Minister for Transport, Simon Lightwood.
It’s thought the Government’s share of the money will come from its £1 billion Structures Fund, which was announced last year.
