The RSPCA says animal cruelty is on the rise with 514 reports of abuse in Surrey alone so far this year.

Across England and Wales, that figure soars to over 44,000.

This is more than 2% higher than the calls received during the same timeframe last year.

The animal welfare charity has launched its ‘No Animal Deserves Cruelty’ summer appeal as it responds to this seasonal peak in cruelty.
