It’s after Independent councillor Jenny Orchard defected to the party.
Her fellow ward councillor, Mark Smith, says he will work closely with the Greens while remaining Independent.
Council composition is now 17 Conservatives, 14 Greens, 6 Residents’ Association, 5 Independents and 4 Liberal Democrats.
