The MP for Twickenham has criticised plans by Thames Water which could see treated sewage pumped into Teddington Lock.

The newly approved plans would direct treated sewage from Mogden Treatment Works into the river.

It’s part of what Thames Water calls drought resilience, however residents and campaigners argue the plans would have little effect.

MP Munira Wilson says she is ‘beyond disappointed’ calling the plans a ‘threat to people, wildlife and the environment’.
