The Metropolitan Police say there has been a significant increase in hate crimes in London since the Hamas attack on Israel.

Between the 1^st and 18^th of October, 218 anti-Semitic incidents were recorded – up from 15 last year. Islamophobic incidents have risen to 101, from 42 last year.

The statistics include 10 incidents of Islamophobic graffiti on bus stops in New Malden and Raynes Park earlier this week.

21 people have been arrested so far in relation to the offences.
