It’s reported around 100 have stepped back from duties after a colleague was charged with the murder of Chris Kaba in Streatham Hill last September.
The Army’s also on standby in case counter-terrorism support is needed.
Tony Long – a former Scotland Yard marksman – was cleared of murder in 2015 following the shooting of 24-year-old Azelle Rodney in north London.
