Officers were called to Lyons Court shortly before 11.40am on February the 9th by Surrey Fire & Rescue Service, who had found the body of a man at the address when conducting a safe and well check in the area.

South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has now been formally identified as 67-year-old James Hall from Dorking.

An investigation, led by Surrey Police and Sussex Police’s Major Crime Team, is underway to establish the circumstances of his death and enquiries remain ongoing.

A man in his 50s from Dorking was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been released on conditional bail, pending further enquiries.
