The November “Beaver Moon” coincides with Bonfire Night, rising in the east just after sunset.

Dr Noelia Noël, Senior Lecturer in Astrophysics at the University of Surrey, says it will appear slightly larger and brighter than usual.

She also says it will appear “with a striking visual effect known as the ‘moon illusion.’”

Stargazers are being encouraged to take a moment between fireworks to enjoy one of nature’s brightest spectacles.
