The Green Party has hit out at plans for a second runway at Gatwick.

Ministers have approved a second runway at Gatwick airport.

The expansion, which will cost £2.2 billion, will allow an extra 100,000 flights a year.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves says it will create thousands of jobs and give the economy a boost.

The Greens say the project will damage the climate and harm local communities.
