The government has revealed how it will allocate funding for local authorities in England to fix potholes.

A £1.6 billion fund will be split between the regions, with councils in the East Midlands and West Midlands receiving the greatest share.

Councils across South East England, including Surrey, are set to receive £297 million.

Sir Keir Starmer’s urging them to ‘get on with’ repairs as soon as possible.
