Around 100 square metres of scrap metal and electrical waste went up in flames at a recycling centre in the early hours of Saturday.
40 firefighters were called to the site in Transport Avenue at around 2:20.
Residents are being urged by London Fire Brigade to check disposal guidelines surrounding batteries to prevent similar incidents.
