The Environment Agency’s revealed plans to crack down on water companies saying the majority are “failing to get the basics right”.

Its report names Anglian, Southern, Thames and Yorkshire Water as being responsible for 90% of serious pollution leaks last year.

Environment secretary and MP for Streatham and North Croydon, Steve Reed, says their performance is totally unacceptable.
