The Environment Agency says no action needs to be taken by them after a lorry spilled a load of diesel along the A24 in Leatherhead.

A criminal investigation is underway by Surrey Police following the incident on Tuesday morning.

A lorry is believed to have travelled the length of the A24 while leaking diesel resulting in over 10 miles of resurfacing.

But environmental officers have told Mole Valley Council they won’t need to take action confirming around 400 litres was spilled.
