The death of a man whose body was recovered from the River Thames in Molesey is not being treated as suspicious.

Surrey Police and Surrey Search and Rescue had been searching the riverside near Platt’s Eyot after a man in his 40s was reported missing.

The body was recovered near Sadlers Ride on Saturday afternoon and is thought to be that of a missing man.

Police say the 41 year old’s family has been contacted.
