The company behind Chessington World of Adventures has u-turned on its plan to tighten access to its disability queuing system.

Merlin Entertainments had planned to introduce new eligibility rules over half term at sites including Chessington and Alton Towers.

But parents of children with autism, ADHD, and anxiety said the move would forcibly exclude them from visiting the theme parks.

Merlin Entertainments now says it will not go ahead with the trial following “extensive feedback”.
