Thames Water has announced two more wastewater sites in south London are turning sewage into electricity.

Poo power from Beddington in Sutton and Hogsmill in Surrey has supplied around 2000 homes and businesses for over six months.

The initiative is part of Thames Water’s commitment to reduce its carbon emissions across its operations.

To make this possible, Thames Water have worked with UK Power Networks to upgrade electricity network capacity for the project.
