Temperatures will soar above 30°C in parts of the UK today with another exceptionally hot spell bringing a yellow health alert.

It could significantly impact hospital and social care services, with a potential rise in deaths, especially among over-65s.

Last year, Teddington RNLI’s lifeboats were called out 113 times, saving 3 lives and holding 102 water safety and 43 fundraising events.

Ross McLeod from the RNLI is asking people to remember “call, tell, throw” if they get into trouble in the water.
