Surrey’s district and borough councils say they have not been allocated any Household Support Fund money this year.

Spelthorne has confirmed it won’t be operating the scheme which helps people in need of help with significantly rising living costs.

Surrey County Council is in the process of developing an initiative that will be available later in the year following devolution.

Those in immediate need of financial support are being directed to Surrey Crisis Fund.
