Students at three schools in Twickenham have taken the grim issue of dog fouling into their own hands.

Youngsters who attend Trafalgar Schools have created and are displaying colourful posters aimed at dog walkers.

They want them to clear up after their pets and for people who spot dog faeces in the street to report it to the council.

Failure to clean up after a dog can lead to a Fixed Penalty Notice of £80, or prosecution, which may lead to a fine of £1,000 plus costs.
