It’s so they can learn how to safely remove birds from railway tracks and release them into the wild.
New figures released today by Network Rail show animals have trespassed 1,432 times in the 12 months to the end of March.
Removing animals from tracks is challenging as part of the network is powered by the third rail which carries 750 volts of electricity.
