The Met Police received five times more sporting events ticket fraud reports than any other force between 2021 and this year.
A Freedom of Information request by Harlow Leisurezone revealed this amounted to 15 cases with an average loss of nearly £3,000.
People are being advised to remain vigilant when buying tickets online, especially if they are limited, hoping to secure a great deal.
