The Home Office has confirmed the plans for The Stanwell are currently on hold following concerns raised last week.
But Council leader, Joanne Sexton has requested a further meeting with the Home Office saying the plans should be ditched.
An Extraordinary Council Meeting will be held on Thursday to discuss the issue, but the final decision remains with the Home Office.
The Stanwell Hotel, which is currently housing women and children, has recently been at the centre of peaceful protests.
We have previously contacted the Home Office for comment.
