Spelthorne Borough Council is preparing a new Flooding Document to give clearer guidance on flood risks in planning applications.

The Supplementary Planning Document explains how to deal with all flooding, rules for basements and foundations, and when flood risk checks are needed.

The council is working with Surrey County Council, the Environment Agency, and residents to ensure it reflects community concerns.
Residents can provide feedback during a public consultation on the draft document via the Local Plan website.
