It’s writing to residents who are receiving the reduction on their Council Tax as part of “routine” checks.
It’s part of the National Fraud Initiative which matches electronic data between public and private sector bodies to prevent fraud.
The council says if you have received a letter, you need to complete and return it as soon as possible.
