The council is proposing implementing a Public Space Protection Order.
It would mean dogs need to be kept on leads in some open spaces and they would be excluded completely from children’s play areas.
A public consultation is taking place until the end of the month.
The consultation is an opportunity for residents to share their views on the proposed measures and help inform any decisions taken by the Council.
Consultation period: 1st of February to the 28th of February 2026.
