Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a house fire on The Manor Drive in Worcester Park.

Significant damage was caused to a loft conversion of the semi-detached house in which two people managed to escape.

Crews from New Malden, Wimbledon, Mitcham and other surrounding Stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
