The centres are in Claygate, Cobham, Hersham, Molesey, Walton and Weybridge.
They will not fully reopen until January.
The authority has apologised but says “fundamental safety issues” have been identified.
It’s added “to be clear the centre buildings are safe, this work is focussed on the services provided.”
