Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday will be celebrated with a week of special programmes on the BBC.

The broadcaster, who lives in Richmond, reaches the milestone on the 8th of May.

There’ll be a new show about wildlife in Britain’s gardens and a behind-the-scenes look at his 1979 Life on Earth series.

There will also be a live event at the Royal Albert Hall.
