Seven more Blue Badges have been seized from drivers across Merton.

This brings the number of cases under investigation by the council since April to 32.

In one instance, the legitimate blue badge holder had died, but it was still being used illegally by the person’s granddaughter.

The penalty for blue badge misuse, on conviction in a magistrates’ court, is between £100 and £1,000.
