The improvements will ensure reliable drinking water for around 100,000 customers.
Upgrades include new filtration equipment, pumps, chemical dosing systems, and enhanced monitoring and emergency procedures.
Further work planned for 2026 includes UV treatment, new pipework, and additional valves to reduce the risk of future service interruptions.
