Richmond’s Tree of the Year has been announced.
The Chestnut Leaved Oak in Ham Common has taken the 2024 top spot with 46 votes.
The council says it is an unusual specimen, with a characterful globular crown and hairy acorns.
Five other trees were shortlisted in the competition.
