Sarah Olney has written to the Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley to also ask for extra resources for existing police teams.
She says she will write to newly re-elected London mayor, Sadiq Khan as well.
Ms Olney says that for various issues, some areas have been reduced, at times, to a single police constable serving thousands of residents.
